Tao Semko completed more than 3000 hours of rigorous training before his certification by Santiago Dobles in tantric hatha and kriya yoga and ayurvedic yoga therapy (2001). He has completed many more since then. He was certified in 2003 to conduct teacher training. His further certifications are from Dr. Glenn Morris, who gave Tao his Hoshin Tao qi gong instructor certification. He received initiation in the Mahavidya cycle and various completion stage yogas from Santiago Dobles and tantric scholar Dinu Roman, Senior Instructor from MISA and NATHA. He is certified in Aroma Therapy in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (A-CAM).

Tao practices qigong healing, reiki, and pranic healing, and tantric and shamanic healing methods. His first Taoist initiation was given by Raven Cohan, one of 8 original instructors of Mantak Chia's Universal Tao System, with more from Doctor Morris, and from Sifu Francis Fong; Hindu Tantra initiations from Santiago Dobles, Dinu Roman, and other students of Gregorian Bivolaru; and Highest Yoga Tantra, Anuyoga, and Dzogchen initiations from Gelug, Ningma, and Bon Rinpoches, including the late Ningma Lama Khempo Yurmed Tinley Rinpoche. Terry Waltman taught Tao pranic healing, Carol Rockman taught him reiki. He is grateful for every one of his teachers, named, and unnamed, and their lessons.

Tao graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science (major in Biology, major in Oceanography, minor in Chemistry) and numerous graduate credits. He attended as a NAtional Merit Scholar and Isaac Bashevis Singer merit scholarship recipient. Tao was a nationally ranked swimmer as a teenager. He is also a whitewater kayaker, rock climber, bicyclist, and lapsed martial artist.

Tao lives with his girlfriend Veronica, a documentary and tv producer and graphic designer, in sunny Miami Beach, FL.

Santiago Dobles has over 14 years of yoga training and experience. He has been teaching yoga and conducting seminars in Miami since 1997. He was certified in 1996 to teach Tantric yogas and ayurvedic yoga therapy, and to conduct teacher training, by Trika Institute of Boston, under the auspices of Griegorian Bivolaru of Romania's MISA. Santiago trained directly under Dinu Roman, Senior Instructor from MISA and NATHA. He is the co-founder of Umaa Tantra, an organization dedicated to the research and study of authentice Yogic practices and philosophies. He is a certified instructor of Hoshin Tao Qi Gong and Hoshinjutsu under Dr. Glenn Morris.

He practices Qi Gong healing, Reiki, and Pranic healing and is a certified Reiki Master. He is also certified in Aromatherapy and Herbalism in Complementary and Alternative Medicine by Miguel Cisneros-Abreu/ A-CAM.

In martial arts, Santiago has extensively researched Jun Fan Gung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun, Kali-Escrima-Kuntao, Pukulan Pencak Silat, Muay Thai Kick Boxing, Hoshinjutsu, and Martial Qi Gong. He began his training in 1999 under Sifu Dwight Woods of Unified Martial Art Academy. Since then he has trained with Bruce Lee's protege and martial art legend Guru Dan Inosanto, Muay Thai legend Arjarn Chai Sirisute, Sifu Tim Tackett, Sensie Erik Paulson, Professor Salem Assli, Sifu Samuel Kwok, Dr. Glenn Morris, William Dethouars, and other notable masters.

He attended and trained an invitation-only Wing Chun instructor-level course with Sifu Francis Fong, in addition to numerous wing chun seminars. He has privately trained Bukajalan Silat, Kali Escrima, MI-JKD with Guru Cass Magda, and traditional Serak with Guru Stevan Plink. Santiago has studied one on one intensively with Guru Cliff Stewart and continues to study (L.A. Kilat) Pukulan Pentjak Silat Sera/Bukti Negara and L.A. Kilat with him.

Santiago is an acclaimed guitarist and producer, with numerous guitar magazine appearances and equipment endorsements. His band is Aghora. He lives with his wife Ingrid, their children, their dog, two cats, and two slider turtles, in sunny Miami, FL
